Lunchtime Clubs

Our lunchtime clubs provides an organised sports timetable for the children to actively participate in during their lunch breaks.

This initiative allows the students to engage in various sports activities, promoting physical fitness and overall well-being. With a wide range of sports available, such as football, basketball, and athletics, the children have the opportunity to discover their interests and develop their skills in a fun and inclusive environment.

The structured timetable ensures that every child gets a fair chance to participate and enjoy the benefits of regular exercise.

Additionally, it encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among the students. By incorporating sports into their lunch breaks, we aim to instill a lifelong love for physical activity and healthy habits in our children.

"At our school, we have worked closely with Frickley AFC Foundation for a number of years now. John and his team of coaches always deliver high quality lunch time clubs to all of our children ranging from Year 1 to Year 6. They ensure that they deliver a wide range of sports and games that appeal to everyone, including girl's only games to SEND friendly activities. This has therefore had a positive impact in school with the number of girls and SEND children putting their name forwards for other clubs and after school sporting activities. With regards to behaviour management, the coaches always take the time to get to know the children so that they feel more confident and comfortable around them. If there are any incidents during lunch, the coaches ensure that either a lunchtime supervisor or myself has been informed. Our children are always incredibly excited and eager to take part in any lunch time clubs because of how friendly and accommodating the coaches are."
